Ingredients for Mexican-Style Fish Rolls:
- 3 large tortilla wraps
- 250 grams of peeled shrimp
- 250 grams of grouper fish, cut into pieces
- 250 grams of crab meat, cut into pieces
- 1½ tablespoons of finely chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoons of peeled and diced tomatoes
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of crushed garlic
- 75 grams of grated cheddar cheese
- 200 grams of unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of water
Preparation Method for Mexican-Style Fish Rolls:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic, stirring occasionally until the onion softens.
- Add the shrimp, crab, and grouper fish to the pan and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Add the grated cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro, stirring continuously for another 2 minutes. Remove the pan from heat and set the filling aside to cool.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water until smooth to create a sealing paste.
- Warm a tortilla in a pan, then place approximately 200 grams of the filling in the center. Roll the tortilla tightly and seal the edges using the cornstarch mixture.
- Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Melt the remaining butter in a non-stick pan and fry the fish rolls, turning them until they are golden brown on all sides.
