How to Prepare Kuwaiti Qouboot
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- Mix the white flour with ½ cup of drinking water, a pinch of black pepper, and salt. Knead the ingredients into a dough ball.
- Sprinkle with flour, cover, and set aside in a bowl for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare the Filling
- Heat a suitable pot with vegetable oil. Add half the raisins and chopped onions, sautéing until the onions change color.
- Sprinkle the mixture with ground loomi, black pepper, and salt. Stir well, then remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Form the Dough Balls
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface. Shape into small balls, flatten them, and stuff with the onion-raisin mixture.
