Preparation Steps:

1. Cooking the Lamb:

  1. Place the lamb in a large pot over low heat.
  2. Add half the sliced onions, salt, and cardamom pods. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour enough water into the pot to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Lower the heat and simmer until the lamb is tender.
  5. Remove the lamb and cardamom pods from the pot, leaving the broth.

2. Preparing the Okra:

  1. Add the chopped okra to the lamb broth.
  2. Stir in the remaining onions, chicken stock cube, and baking soda.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the okra softens.

3. Adding the Flavor:

  1. Chop the dill and add it to the pot, stirring to combine.
  2. Simmer until the okra is fully cooked and tender.
  3. Return the cooked lamb to the pot.
  4. Add the dried coriander, black pepper, and minced garlic. Stir to blend the flavors.

4. Final Steps:

  1. Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for a few more minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
