Cooking Method for Egg Murtabak:

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, vegetable oil, and salt.
    • Gradually add the water while stirring continuously until you achieve a soft and cohesive dough.
    • Let the dough rest for a few minutes.
    • Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape them into balls.
    • Coat each ball with oil and arrange them in a tray. Cover and let them rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Filling:

    • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes soft and translucent.
    • Add the leek, garlic, and green bell pepper. Stir and cook for 3 minutes until the vegetables are well combined.

    • Roll out each dough ball into a thin circle.
