- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup water (or more as needed)
Instructions for Preparing Eish Al Saraya Dessert:
Toast the Bread:
- Toast the slices of bread in the oven or an air fryer until golden brown.
- Once cooled, cut the toasted bread into small, even cubes using a cutting board.
Prepare the Caramel Sauce:

- Gradually add 1 cup of water while stirring until the caramel sauce is smooth. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
Combine the Bread and Caramel:
- Place the toasted bread cubes in a deep bowl. Pour the caramel sauce over the bread and gently mix until the bread absorbs the caramel. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Assemble the Dessert:
- In wide, slightly deep serving glasses, layer the dessert as follows:
- Spread the caramel-soaked bread cubes as the first layer.
- Add about 3 tablespoons of cream over the bread as the second layer. Spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts, cashews, pistachios) as the third layer, ensuring it covers the cream.
- Add another layer of caramelized bread cubes.
- Top each cup with 3 more tablespoons of cream, smoothing it to complete the final layer.
- In wide, slightly deep serving glasses, layer the dessert as follows:
Garnish and Chill:
- Garnish each cup with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios in the center. Optionally, drizzle some caramel sauce in a striped pattern for decoration.
