Ingredients for Eish Al Saraya Dessert:

Eish Al Saraya Dessert

Base:

  • 1 package of white toast bread
  • 3 cans of cream
  • A mix of nuts (walnuts, cashews, pistachios), coarsely chopped

Caramel Sauce:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon soft butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup water (or more as needed)

Instructions for Preparing Eish Al Saraya Dessert:

  1. Toast the Bread:

    • Toast the slices of bread in the oven or an air fryer until golden brown.
    • Once cooled, cut the toasted bread into small, even cubes using a cutting board.
  2. Prepare the Caramel Sauce:

    • In a non-stick pan, combine 2 cups of sugar with 2 tablespoons of water. Stir with a whisk until the sugar melts and starts to boil, changing to a honey-golden color.
    • Add 1 tablespoon of soft butter and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir well.
    • Gradually add 1 cup of water while stirring until the caramel sauce is smooth. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Combine the Bread and Caramel:

    • Place the toasted bread cubes in a deep bowl. Pour the caramel sauce over the bread and gently mix until the bread absorbs the caramel. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Dessert:

    • In wide, slightly deep serving glasses, layer the dessert as follows:
      1. Spread the caramel-soaked bread cubes as the first layer.
      2. Add about 3 tablespoons of cream over the bread as the second layer. Spread it evenly.
      3. Sprinkle the coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts, cashews, pistachios) as the third layer, ensuring it covers the cream.
      4. Add another layer of caramelized bread cubes.
      5. Top each cup with 3 more tablespoons of cream, smoothing it to complete the final layer.
  5. Garnish and Chill:

    • Garnish each cup with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios in the center. Optionally, drizzle some caramel sauce in a striped pattern for decoration.
    • Refrigerate the dessert for about 30 minutes to cool slightly before serving.

Serve and Enjoy!

This layered dessert offers a perfect blend of caramel sweetness, creamy richness, and nutty crunchiness. Serve chilled and enjoy the delightful taste of Eish Al Saraya with family or guests. Bon appétit!
