  • 1 can of pineapple chunks (reserve ¼ cup of the juice).
  • 1 kg boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes.
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour.
  • 1 onion, finely chopped.

For the Sauce:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce.
  • ½ cup water.
  • ¼ cup honey.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced.
  • ½ teaspoon paprika.

For Garnishing:

  • Chopped green onions (optional).

Steps to Prepare Sweet and Sour Chicken:

1. Prepare the Sauce:

  1. Drain the pineapple chunks and reserve ¼ cup of the juice.
  2. In a bowl, mix the pineapple juice with 2 tablespoons of flour, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, and paprika. Whisk until the ingredients are well combined to form a smooth sauce.

2. Coat and Cook the Chicken:

  1. Coat the chicken cubes with the remaining flour.
