How to Prepare Fruit Tart Bites
Step 1: Preparing the Tart Dough
In a suitable bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, fine sugar, eggs, and grated zest. Mix well until a smooth dough forms.
Divide the dough into small balls and place each one into mini tart molds. Press the dough firmly into the bottom and sides of each mold to prevent it from puffing up while baking.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Once the oven reaches the desired temperature, place the tart molds inside and bake for about 10–15 minutes, checking regularly until the dough turns golden brown.
Remove the tarts from the oven and let them cool completely before adding the filling.
Step 2: Preparing the Filling
In a saucepan, mix water and sweetened condensed milk, then bring the mixture to a boil.
In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla, eggs, cornstarch, and grated zest until well combined.
Gradually pour the egg mixture into the boiling milk mixture while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Continue stirring until the mixture thickens, then remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.
Once the filling has cooled, stir it again until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Assembling the Tarts
Spoon the prepared filling into the cooled tart shells, spreading it evenly.
Decorate each tart with your choice of fresh fruit slices, such as strawberries, kiwi, mango, or berries.
Your Fruit Tart Bites are now ready! Arrange them on a serving plate and enjoy them with your family or guests.
Bon appétit!
