Kousa Bil Laban – How to Prepare Syrian-Style Stuffed Zucchini in Yogurt Sauce

- 1.5 kg of plain yogurt

- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch

- 1 tablespoon of salt
How to Prepare Kousa Bil Laban:
Step 1: Preparing the Stuffing
- Wash and core the zucchini to remove the inside flesh, ensuring they remain intact.
- In a pan, melt the ghee over medium heat.
- Add the ground meat, black pepper, cinnamon, and mixed spices, stirring well.
- Add the pine nuts and continue stirring until the meat is fully cooked and the pine nuts are slightly toasted.
- Remove the stuffing mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly before stuffing the zucchini.
Step 2: Stuffing and Frying the Zucchini
- Fill each zucchini with the prepared meat mixture, ensuring they are not overfilled to prevent splitting during cooking.
