Lentils with crispy bread is a delicious dish, especially in winter. It is easy to prepare, requiring only 15 minutes for preparation and about an hour for cooking.   • 2 cups of split orange lentils
  • 1.5 liters of drinking water
  • 1 pack of fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cube of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
  • Salt (to taste)

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1 large onion, sliced and fried in olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of sumac
  • Fresh chopped parsley (to taste)

Preparation Method for Lentils with Crispy Bread:

  1. Boil the lentils with 1 cup of water and cook until tender. Then, add the remaining water along with the fettuccine pasta.

  2. Add the chicken broth cube, ground cumin, salt, and ¼ of the fried onion slices. Stir continuously over high heat until the mixture boils.

  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the pasta cook completely.

  4. Pour the prepared mixture into a serving dish and garnish with the remaining fried onions, chopped onion, parsley, and sumac.
