Banana Pancakes – Recipe & Cooking Method

Banana pancakes are a delicious type of pastry, often considered a sweet dish.   • 2 eggs
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 bananas, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups of sifted flour
  • 2 cups of warm fresh milk
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar

How to Prepare Banana Pancakes:

  1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

    • Sift the flour and baking powder several times and place them in the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large mixing bowl.
    • Add the sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt to the sifted flour. Stir the mixture well to combine.
  2. Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

    • In a deep bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
    • Add the warm milk, vegetable oil, and mashed bananas. Stir the wet ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

    • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, a little at a time, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
    • Whisk the batter for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and well-mixed.
  4. Cooking the Pancakes:

    • Place a non-stick frying pan on low heat and add a small amount of vegetable oil.
    • Use a medium-sized spoon to pour about ¼ cup of batter into the hot pan.
    • Let the pancake cook without disturbing it until the edges turn golden. Flip the pancake and cook the other side until it becomes golden brown.
  5. Assemble and Serve:

    • Remove the pancakes from the pan and arrange them on a serving plate.
    • Spread a layer of honey or chocolate on each pancake layer.
    • Place thin banana slices on top of the chocolate or honey.
    • Repeat the process, stacking the pancakes and adding layers of chocolate or honey and banana slices.
  6. Final Touch:

    • Sprinkle the top of the stacked pancakes with crushed pistachios and drizzle with a bit of melted chocolate. Arrange more banana slices on top for a finishing touch.
