How to Prepare Cheesy Potato Pie:

1. Preparing the Mashed Potatoes:

  1. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into chunks.
  2. Place them in a pot of salted water and boil until tender (about 30 minutes).
  3. Drain the potatoes, then mash them thoroughly.
  4. Add butter and fresh milk while mashing to create a smooth and creamy texture.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).

2. Assembling the Pie:

  1. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly into a baking dish.
  2. Slice the mozzarella cheese into thin layers.
