  • 1 kilogram of minced meat
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pine nuts (to taste)

For the Sauce:

  • 3 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 400 grams of finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup of water

How to Prepare Dawood Basha Kofta:

Preparing the Kofta:

  1. In a suitable bowl, mix the minced meat with the finely chopped onion and blend well until fully combined.
  2. Add the ground cinnamon, mixed spices, and salt, then mix again until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Take small portions of the meat mixture and shape them into balls approximately the size of a nutmeg. Repeat until all the meat mixture is used.
  4. Heat some oil in a wide pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the kofta balls and turn them occasionally to ensure they cook evenly on all sides. Once fully cooked, set them aside.

Preparing the Sauce:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and chopped onions. Stir well until the onions soften.
