Ingredients for Syrian-Style Lamb in a Tray:

500 grams (approx. 1.1 lbs) of finely ground lamb

2 fresh tomatoes, finely chopped

½ bunch of fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 large onion, finely chopped

Salt to taste

Mixed spices to taste

Ground ginger to taste

1 large potato, sliced into rounds

3 tablespoons of ghee (or clarified butter)

2 fresh tomatoes, sliced into rounds
How to Prepare Syrian-Style Lamb in a Tray:

In a deep mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly until well blended.

Add the salt, mixed spices, and a pinch of ground ginger. Mix again until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Lightly grease a baking tray with a little oil. Spread the meat mixture evenly across the bottom of the tray. Add 2 tablespoons of ghee over the top of the meat.
