Panini Bread – Panini Bread Recipe – How to Make Panini Bread

Panini bread is one of the most popular types of baked goods around the world. Breads and pastries have become essential in global cuisines due to their easy preparation, quick cooking time, delicious taste, and their popularity, especially among children.

Among these baked goods, panini bread stands out as a favorite. It’s particularly ideal for making sandwiches thanks to its delicious taste, soft texture, and ease of stuffing. It’s also light on the stomach and beneficial for digestion.

Ingredients for Panini Bread:

Panini Bread

  • 1 kg (about 2.2 lbs) of sifted flour

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1½ tablespoons of dry yeast

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • ¼ cup of olive oil

  • 1 egg

  • 4 tablespoons of powdered milk

  • Warm water (for kneading)

How to Prepare Delicious Panini Bread:

  1. In a small cup, combine the yeast with ¼ teaspoon of sugar. Stir well, then add warm water while stirring. Cover the cup and let it rest for about 10 minutes to activate the yeast.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the sifted flour, powdered milk, and a pinch of salt. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly.

  3. Add one egg and mix well with the dry ingredients. Pour in a bit of olive oil, then slowly begin adding warm water while kneading until you get a soft, cohesive dough.

  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for about one hour.

  5. Once the dough has risen, grease your working surface lightly with oil and divide the dough into evenly sized balls.

  6. Shape the dough balls into cylindrical (log-like) shapes and place them on a greased baking tray.

  7. Cover the tray with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise again for another hour until the rolls double in size.

  8. Brush the tops of the dough rolls with egg yolk mixed with a little white vinegar.

  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (around 350°F) for about 15 minutes or slightly less, until golden and baked through.

  10. Remove the panini rolls from the oven and place them on a wire rack to cool, allowing air to circulate underneath and prevent moisture buildup.

  11. Arrange the cooled bread in a basket and serve with meals.

Tip:
You can also use panini bread to make sandwiches by cutting a slit along the side and stuffing them with cheese, mortadella, or vegetables. Warm the stuffed sandwiches and serve them hot on a suitable platter.
