  • 6 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 cup chopped green garlic leaves)
  • 1 cup fresh coriander, finely chopped (or 3 tablespoons dried ground coriander)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil

How to Prepare Sautéed Green Fava Beans with Olive Oil:

1. Preparing the Fava Beans:

  1. Cut the fava beans into medium-sized squares, making sure to remove the fibrous side threads.
  2. Keep the green outer skin as it enhances the flavor of the dish.
  3. Rinse the beans well under cold water multiple times, then drain in a colander.

2. Preparing the Herbs:

  1. Rinse the fresh coriander and green garlic leaves thoroughly.
  2. Drain them well, then finely chop the coriander and slice the green garlic into small pieces.

3. Cooking the Fava Beans:

  1. In a deep cooking pot, add the cleaned fava beans, a pinch of salt, and olive oil.
  2. Place the pot over low heat and let the beans cook for 15 minutes without covering the pot.

4. Adding the Herbs & Final Cooking:

  1. After 15 minutes, add the chopped garlic and coriander to the pot.
  2. Stir the mixture well, allowing the flavors to blend.
  3. Let it simmer for another 15 minutes until the beans are tender and fully cooked.

5. Serving the Dish:

  1. Once the fava beans are fully cooked, transfer them to a serving plate.
