Shawarma Burger – Recipe & Preparation Guide
Shawarma burger is one of the most delicious and flavorful meals, packed with nutritional benefits due to the presence of protein-rich chicken meat.
Additionally, the fresh vegetables included in the recipe provide numerous health benefits.
While the shawarma burger is a relatively easy dish to prepare, it requires a significant amount of time to get it ready.
Ingredients for a Delicious Shawarma Burger:
- 2 kg of chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
- 3 ground cardamom pods
- ¼ cup of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 2 tablespoons of red pepper
- 2 tablespoons of ground ginger
- 6 cloves of crushed garlic
- 1 tablespoon of saffron
- 1 tablespoon of curry powder
- 1 tablespoon of shawarma spices
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 3 red and green bell peppers
- ¼ cup of finely chopped onion
- 6 tomatoes
- 3 lemons
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- 9 burger buns
- 1 cup of garlic sauce
- A few pickle slices
- Some lettuce leaves
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup of finely chopped parsley
- 1 cup of finely chopped mint leaves
- ½ kg of potatoes, peeled, sliced into medium strips, and fried
- 1 cup of pomegranate seeds
How to Prepare a Delicious Shawarma Burger:
In a deep bowl, mix black pepper, ground red pepper, saffron, ginger, curry powder, turmeric, crushed cardamom, minced garlic, yogurt, vinegar, and lemon slices. Stir the mixture well.
Add the chicken strips and rub them thoroughly with the marinade. Let them marinate for 6 hours.
Cook the marinated chicken over low heat until it is fully cooked.
Prepare the burger buns and spread spicy mayonnaise inside each bun.
Distribute the well-seasoned fried potato strips.
Layer the shawarma chicken pieces, followed by lettuce, chopped parsley, mint, tomato slices, red and green bell pepper slices, and fresh lemon slices.
Evenly distribute the pickle slices, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the entire sandwich.
Place the burgers in the oven at moderate heat for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
Remove the burgers from the oven and arrange them on a serving plate. Garnish the plate with lemon slices, parsley, and mint leaves.
Finally, sprinkle a small amount of pomegranate seeds on top.
