This dish takes about 75 minutes to prepare and serves four people.
Ingredients for Spinach and Cheese Pasta:
- ½ kg (500g) pasta of your choice
- 1 liter of heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup crushed walnuts
- 10 mushrooms, sliced
- ½ kg (500g) fresh spinach, washed and chopped
- ½ teaspoon white pepper
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
How to Prepare Spinach and Cheese Pasta:
Step 1: Cooking the Pasta
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the pasta.
- Cook over medium heat until the pasta is fully cooked.
- Drain well and transfer the pasta to a baking dish.
Step 2: Preparing the Spinach
- In another pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.
- Add the chopped spinach and let it boil for 5 minutes or until soft.
- Drain well and remove excess water.
Step 3: Assembling the Dish
- Spread the cooked spinach over the pasta in the baking dish.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and crushed walnuts, then mix all the ingredients together.
Step 4: Preparing the Cream Sauce
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat.
- Add white pepper, black pepper, red chili flakes, and salt.
- Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
- Pour the cream mixture evenly over the pasta and spinach mixture.
- Gently mix the pasta to help it absorb the creamy sauce.
Step 5: Baking the Dish
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the baking dish.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake until the top turns golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Serving:
- Transfer the pasta to a serving plate.
