Ingredients for Spring Roll Dough:

Spring Roll Dough

  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • Lukewarm water (as needed)
  • ½ cup of cornstarch
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil

How to Prepare Spring Roll Dough:

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a deep bowl, sift the flour well and mix it with salt.
    • Gradually add lukewarm water while stirring and kneading continuously until the dough becomes soft and well-combined.
  2. Rest the Dough:

    • Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it well, and let it rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  3. Shaping the Dough:

    • After resting, divide the dough into small balls and coat each with cornstarch.
    • Roll out each dough ball on a flat surface using a rolling pin to form thin, circular sheets.
    • Brush the surface of each sheet with vegetable oil and lightly sprinkle cornstarch on top.
    • Repeat this process with the remaining dough.
    • This recipe typically yields around ten sheets of dough.
  4. Stacking and Cooking the Dough:

    • Stack the dough sheets in two groups and roll them again to form two large circles.
    • Brush both sides of each dough sheet with vegetable oil.
    • Heat a non-stick pan over low heat and add a small amount of oil.
    • Place the dough sheet in the pan, cooking for about 3 minutes on one side before flipping to cook the other side.
  5. Separating and Storing the Sheets:

    • Remove the cooked dough and place it on a smooth wooden surface.
    • Carefully separate the layers to create individual sheets.
    • Cut the sheets into the desired shapes and sizes.
    • Continue the process until all dough is used, trimming off any thick edges.
  6. Storage Tips:

    • The dough should be used immediately or stored in airtight plastic bags, removing excess air before placing it in the refrigerator.

Now, your homemade spring roll dough is ready to be filled with your favorite ingredients and enjoyed! 🥢✨
