-
500 grams of chicken fillet, cut into cubes
-
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
-
100 grams of finely chopped onion
-
75 grams of chopped red bell pepper
-
3 cloves of garlic, minced
-
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
-
1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
-
400 grams of tomatoes, diced
-
60 milliliters of balsamic vinegar
-
1 and 1/2 tablespoons of dried oregano
-
1 cup of water
-
2 chicken bouillon cubes
-
450 grams of fettuccine pasta
-
2 liters of water
-
1 tablespoon of olive oil
-
1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves, chopped
How to Prepare Chicken Cacciatore:
First, mix the flour and ground black pepper together, then lightly coat the chicken fillet cubes with the flour mixture.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken pieces and cook them until they are golden brown. Once browned, remove the chicken and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and cook until they soften. Then add the bell pepper, garlic, tomato paste, and turmeric. Cook the mixture for about three minutes, stirring constantly.
Next, add the diced tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, dried oregano, water, and chicken bouillon cubes. Stir well to combine all ingredients, then reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer gently for about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine pasta in a large pot of boiling water until it is nearly al dente. Drain the pasta and place it in a large pot. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat the pasta thoroughly.
To serve, arrange the pasta in a large serving dish, pour the rich chicken cacciatore sauce over it, and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve hot and enjoy this flavorful and hearty meal with your family!
