Ingredients (Serves 4):
-
1 pack of fettuccine pasta
-
2 cleaned and sliced chicken breasts
-
1 onion, sliced
-
1 bell pepper, sliced
-
100 grams of softened butter
-
1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ teaspoon of salt
-
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
-
1 teaspoon of cumin
How to Prepare Fettuccine:
Start by slicing the onion and bell pepper and setting them aside.
In a large skillet, melt a quarter of the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and sauté until fully cooked. Then add the sliced onion and bell pepper, along with the cumin and thyme. Stir well and cook until the vegetables are soft and all ingredients are well blended.
In a separate pot, cook the fettuccine pasta by boiling it in water with a little oil and salt. Once tender, drain the pasta thoroughly.
Add the boiled pasta to the chicken mixture and stir to combine all flavors.
In a wide saucepan, melt the remaining butter. Add the cooking cream, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Heat gently while stirring until the cheese melts completely and the mixture comes to a boil. Sprinkle in a pinch of thyme.
Next, add the pasta and chicken mixture to the creamy cheese sauce. Stir everything together over low heat for a couple of minutes to allow the flavors to marry.
Finally, remove from heat and serve hot in individual plates. This creamy, savory dish is perfect for a family lunch or dinner and is sure to satisfy everyone at the table.
