Lemon Chicken Piccata – Recipe and Cooking Instructions

1 package of spaghetti

500 grams of chicken breast, sliced into thin fillets

½ teaspoon of salt

¼ teaspoon of black pepper

½ cup all-purpose flour (for coating)

4 tablespoons of butter

4 garlic cloves, crushed

¼ cup chopped green onions

¾ cup chicken broth

Juice of 1 lemon

½ cup cooking cream (liquid cream)

2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
Preparation:

Cook the spaghetti.
Boil a pot of water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside. -
Season and coat the chicken.
Place the chicken fillets in a bowl, season with salt and black pepper, and mix until well coated. Dredge the fillets lightly in flour, shaking off any excess. -
Sauté the chicken.
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the floured chicken and cook until golden on both sides. Once cooked, remove from the pan and set aside. -
Prepare the sauce.
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chopped green onions and sauté for about 2 minutes. Then pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. -
Simmer and enrich.
Let the broth simmer for 5 minutes, then add the cooking cream. Let the sauce continue simmering for another 5 minutes until it thickens slightly. -
Return the chicken and add lemon.
Place the sautéed chicken back into the skillet with the sauce. Add the fresh lemon juice and let it simmer for 3 more minutes to absorb the flavors. -
Assemble the dish.
Arrange the cooked spaghetti on a large serving plate. Spoon the chicken and its creamy lemon sauce over the pasta, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
