Pecan Pie – A Classic American Dessert Recipe
Pecan pie is a rich and indulgent dessert that originated with the Indigenous peoples of Texas, who first crafted this dish using native-grown pecans. Over time, as Europeans settled in the Americas, the recipe traveled back across the Atlantic and quickly gained popularity in Europe as well.
This pie is known for being calorie-dense, so it’s best enjoyed in moderation, particularly for those watching their weight. Every 300 grams of pecan pie provides about 858 calories, 15 grams of protein, 94 grams of carbohydrates, and 49 grams of fat.
