Ingredients for Chicken Fettuccine:
-
500 grams of fettuccine pasta
-
2 chicken breasts, diced
-
1 medium onion
-
1 bell pepper
-
100 grams of soft butter
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon dried thyme
-
½ teaspoon ground cumin
How to Prepare Chicken Fettuccine:
Start by slicing the onion and bell pepper into thin strips, and place them in separate bowls for later use.
In a wide skillet over low heat, melt a quarter of the butter, then add the diced chicken and sauté until fully cooked. Next, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, cumin, thyme, and salt. Stir everything together and cook until the vegetables are soft and the flavors are well combined.
In a separate large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook until tender. Once done, drain and mix the pasta into the chicken and vegetable mixture, tossing gently to coat the noodles with the savory blend.
Meanwhile, in another wide pan, melt the remaining butter. Add the cooking cream, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Stir over low heat until the cheese melts and the sauce begins to bubble. Add a pinch of thyme for extra aroma.
Now, pour the chicken-pasta mixture into the cheesy cream sauce. Stir everything thoroughly to ensure the fettuccine is fully coated with the rich sauce.
Remove from heat and serve immediately while hot, garnished with extra Parmesan or herbs if desired.
Bon appétit!
