Ingredients (Serves 4):
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 kg ground beef
-
200 grams taco seasoning
-
4 large flour tortillas
-
½ cup sour cream
-
2 cups shredded lettuce
-
1 tomato, diced
-
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1: Cook the Beef
Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once warm, add the ground beef and cook for about five minutes, stirring frequently.
Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and mix well to coat the meat evenly. Continue cooking for a few more minutes until the beef is fully browned. Drain any excess fat and set the meat aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Tortillas
Lightly toast part of the tortillas and some nacho cheese if using. For each sandwich, place a generous scoop of the seasoned beef in the center of a tortilla. Top it with shredded Mexican cheese.
Add another toasted tortilla on top, and layer it with sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and more lettuce if desired. Repeat this process for all tortillas.
Step 3: Fold and Toast
Fold the edges of each tortilla inward to seal the filling and form a wrap.
Heat a little olive oil in a skillet, place each wrap seam-side down, and toast for about two minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Step 4: Serve
Transfer the wraps to a serving plate while still hot. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
These ground beef tortilla wraps are a perfect combination of rich, spicy, creamy, and fresh—ideal for a quick dinner or weekend family treat.
