  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped

  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

For the Panna Cotta:

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 1½ cups milk

  • 1½ cups unsweetened coconut milk

  • 4 teaspoons unflavored gelatin powder


How to Prepare Mango Panna Cotta:

Start by preparing the mango sauce. In a blender, combine the chopped mango, sugar, lemon juice, and orange juice. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Pour the mango mixture into serving glasses or bowls as the base layer, and place them in the refrigerator to set.

Next, begin making the panna cotta. Sprinkle the gelatin over half a cup of the milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.

In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk, coconut milk, and sugar. Place over medium heat and stir continuously until the mixture just begins to boil.

Add the gelatin mixture and continue stirring until the gelatin is fully dissolved—this should take about one minute.

Remove from heat and allow the panna cotta mixture to cool slightly. Once it reaches room temperature, take the chilled mango sauce out of the fridge and gently pour the panna cotta over it.

Return the assembled dessert to the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
