Molten Chocolate Cake, also known as liquid chocolate cake, is a beloved dessert across the globe. Its simplicity, rich chocolate flavor, and melt-in-the-mouth texture make it a top choice for gatherings, birthdays, and cozy family evenings.
This cake not only satisfies your sweet cravings but also gives a quick energy boost thanks to its calorie-rich ingredients. It contains essential minerals like iron (for blood health) and calcium (for strong bones), along with fiber for digestive ease and vitamins that support immunity and heart health. It's also a mood enhancer—perfect for lifting spirits and bringing warmth to any gathering.
Ingredients (Serves 6):
For the Cake:
-
5 eggs
-
1½ cups of sugar
-
¾ cup vegetable oil
-
1 cup liquid milk
-
2 cups all-purpose flour
-
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
-
2 teaspoons baking powder
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Liquid Chocolate Sauce:
-
½ cup sugar
-
½ cup vegetable oil
-
½ cup liquid milk
-
5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
-
3 tablespoons powdered milk
How to Prepare Molten Chocolate Cake:
Start by preparing the dry ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Stir until evenly mixed.
In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and smooth. Add the oil and milk, and mix well.
Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Stir gently until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
Grease a cake pan with butter or oil to prevent sticking, then pour the batter into the pan.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the cake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate sauce. In a blender, combine sugar, oil, liquid milk, powdered milk, and cocoa. Blend until the mixture is smooth and velvety.
Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Pour the chocolate sauce generously over the top, allowing it to seep in for a moist, decadent texture.
Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy the rich, chocolaty goodness with friends or family.
Bon appétit!
