Ingredients for Vegetable Pizza Balls (Serves 4):
-
500 grams (half a kilo) of pizza dough
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 onion, finely chopped
-
1 green bell pepper, sliced into rings
-
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into rings
-
1 tablespoon melted butter
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ cup pizza sauce
How to Prepare Vegetable Pizza Balls for Dieting:
Start by placing the pizza dough on a smooth, floured surface. Roll it out using a rolling pin into a large circular shape. Then, using a cutter, divide the dough into equal-sized small circles.
On each circle, place a small amount of mozzarella cheese, yellow pepper, green pepper, and chopped onion. Carefully fold each filled dough circle into a ball shape. Repeat the process until all the dough is used.
Next, prepare a baking tray by greasing it with a bit of oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the dough balls close to each other on the tray.
In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and herbs. Stir the mixture well until combined. Using a brush, coat the stuffed dough balls with this mixture.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F), and place the tray inside for about 15 minutes, or until the balls turn a golden color.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve to your family and enjoy both the delicious flavor and the many health benefits.
