Chocolate-Dipped & Vanilla Petit Fours

 

  • 2 cups flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 200 g butter

  • ½ cup grated chocolate (for decoration/dipping)


Preparation Method:

  1. Place the butter and sugar in a mixer and blend lightly. Add the vanilla and continue mixing until smooth and creamy.

  2. Add the flour gradually, mixing until a firm dough forms.

  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  4. After chilling, roll out the dough on a floured surface until about 1 cm thick.

  5. Cut the dough using cookie cutters (heart, flower, or any desired shape).

  6. Arrange the cut pieces on a buttered baking tray and bake in a preheated oven until lightly golden.

  7. Melt the chocolate using a hot water bath (double boiler). Once the petit fours have cooled, dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate.

  8. Place them on a serving plate and enjoy with family or guests.
