Chocolate Walnut Tart – Recipe & Preparation
Chocolate walnut tart is a delicious and widely popular dessert enjoyed around the world.
In general, tarts are made up of three layers: a crust (pastry), a creamy or rich filling, and toppings such as nuts or fruits. This version combines the richness of chocolate with the crunch of walnuts, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
Like most desserts, it is calorie-dense, giving the body a boost of energy. However, it should be enjoyed in moderation—especially by those on a diet or watching their weight. For perspective, 100 g of tart contains about 371 calories, 1.4 g of fat, 361 mg sodium, 66 mg potassium, 77 g sugar, 1.5 g dietary fiber, and 44 mg calcium.
Nutritionally, this dessert also provides several benefits. Its calcium strengthens bones and helps prevent osteoporosis, while the iron content supports healthy blood. The fiber improves digestion and prevents constipation. Chocolate and walnuts together help widen blood vessels, protect the heart, reduce the risk of clots and arteriosclerosis, and even lower the chance of certain cancers.
