Ingredients for Eggless Chocolate Cake:
-
2 cups of water
-
¾ cup of sunflower oil
-
2 cups of granulated sugar
-
1 tablespoon of white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
-
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-
A pinch of salt
-
2 ½ cups of flour
-
½ cup of cocoa powder
-
1 teaspoon of baking soda
-
1 tablespoon of baking powder
Preparation Method:
-
In a blender or mixing bowl, combine the water, sunflower oil, and sugar. Mix well until smooth.
-
Add the vinegar, vanilla, and salt to the mixture and continue whisking for 3–5 minutes.
-
In a separate dry bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture while whisking for another 3 minutes.
-
Grease a cake pan with butter and dust lightly with flour. Pour in the batter and place it in the oven on the middle rack at 180°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
-
Once baked, remove the cake from the oven. Carefully invert the pan onto a serving plate and gently tap the bottom with a knife handle to release the cake. Let it cool completely before decorating.
Decoration Ideas:
You can top the cake with Nutella, homemade chocolate sauce, or white cream. For a fresh touch, add fruits like cherries or strawberries. Serve and enjoy the delicious, fluffy flavor.
Notes for Best Results:
-
Do not open the oven before the cake has baked for at least 45 minutes.
-
Use baking powder within a week of opening its packet, and store it properly.
-
Always whisk in one direction only—avoid mixing back and forth—to prevent air bubbles from forming.
Enjoy your cake!
