How to Make Fruit-Filled Biscuit Rolls
-
Activate the Yeast:
In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir briefly and let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly and activated.
-
Make the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and oil. Using a stand mixer or your hands, mix on low speed until crumbly.
Gradually pour in the yeast mixture and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes soft and elastic.
Shape the dough into a ball, coat it lightly with oil, cover, and let it rise for about 35 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
-
Shape the Rolls:
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll the dough out with a rolling pin into a large rectangle.
Cut the dough into long, thin strips of equal width using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
Wrap each strip around metal cone molds (or any oven-safe cone shapes) until the dough completely covers the cone. Let them rise again for about 35 minutes.
-
Bake the Shells:
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Arrange the wrapped molds on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let the shells cool before gently sliding them off the molds.
-
Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with honey using a wooden spoon until smooth and creamy.
-
Assemble the Rolls:
Fill the cooled biscuit shells with the honey-cheese mixture.
Top with sliced strawberries, berries, and fresh mint leaves for a colorful and flavorful finish.
Arrange neatly on a serving platter and enjoy with a glass of fresh juice or a cup of coffee.
