German Chocolate Brownies – Recipe
German chocolate brownies are a rich and indulgent type of cake loaded with chocolate, loved by dessert enthusiasts worldwide.
Although named “German,” these brownies originated in the United States before spreading to Europe and eventually becoming a globally popular treat.
They are known for their irresistible taste, satisfying texture, and high nutritional value. Just 100 grams of this dessert contains around 304 calories, 11 grams of fat (including 3 grams of saturated fat), 4 mg of cholesterol, and 8 grams of protein.

Ingredients (Serves 8)
For the brownies:

For the frosting:

Method

In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until smooth. Add the vanilla, salt, cocoa powder, flour, and eggs, mixing until well combined.

Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or until cooked through.

Melt the chocolate chips using a double boiler and spread over the baked brownies.

Melt the caramel in another double boiler and spread it over the chocolate layer.

For the frosting, combine the egg yolks, sugar, milk, and butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened. Stir in the coconut and walnuts until the mixture becomes thick and cohesive.
