Oreo Cookies – Recipe
Oreo cookies are among the most famous types of biscuits in the world, originally American in origin.
They are loved for their irresistible taste and appealing look.
However, this recipe requires precision in following the steps and measurements to achieve perfect results. Keep in mind that it is high in calories and fat, so moderation is recommended.
This recipe makes enough for 12 to 15 people.
Ingredients for the cookies:

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 ¼ cups flour

¼ tsp salt

½ cup butter, at room temperature

1 cup fine sugar

1 egg
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
1 tsp baking powder
Ingredients for the cream filling:

¼ cup butter
-
¼ cup vegetable shortening (or replace with butter if unavailable, making ½ cup total)

2 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla
Preparation Method:
For the cookies:

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

In another bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on high speed for 1 minute until light and creamy. Add sugar and continue mixing on medium speed until fully blended. Add the egg, then vanilla, and beat for another minute.

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the butter mixture with a spoon until a dough forms.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Shape the dough into small balls (about 2 teaspoons each). Flatten gently with your hand to form round cookie shapes.

Arrange on the prepared tray and bake for 6–8 minutes. Let the cookies cool completely before filling.
For the filling:

Beat butter and shortening together until creamy.

Add vanilla and powdered sugar gradually, beating until smooth and fluffy.
Assembling:

Place about 1 tablespoon of cream filling between two cookies and press gently to stick them together.
