Shrimp Curry – A Flavorful Seafood Dish

Ingredients:

½ kg shrimp

5 garlic cloves

1 onion

5 fresh curry leaves

1 cinnamon stick

½ teaspoon grated ginger

½ teaspoon turmeric
-
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds

1 tablespoon hot chili powder (optional, to taste)

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup coconut milk
-
1 cup corn kernels
-
½ cup water
-
Pinch of salt

Few black peppercorns
Preparation Method:

Chop the onion, garlic, and chili. Place them in a pot along with the shrimp, curry leaves, lemon juice, corn, and water. Stir well.

Add the cinnamon stick, chili powder, fenugreek seeds, turmeric, ginger, and salt. Place the pot over medium heat, stirring continuously until the shrimp cooks through.

Once the shrimp is cooked, add the coconut milk and stir gently. Finish by adding the black peppercorns and give it a final mix.

Remove from heat, transfer to serving bowls, and garnish with chili if desired.
For a complete meal, serve the shrimp curry alongside freshly cooked rice and enjoy the rich, aromatic flavors.
