Coffee Biscuits – A Recipe for All Coffee Lovers

Coffee is one of the most beloved hot drinks around the world, an essential part of daily life. Today, from Tabkh Arabi Cook, we’ll learn how to prepare coffee biscuits.

Biscuits are crunchy Western-style baked goods that no one can resist. So we thought of combining the two — coffee and biscuits — to bring you a delicious recipe sure to impress anyone who tries it.

Coffee biscuits are made with flour, ghee, oil, powdered sugar, baking powder, salt, cocoa, and of course coffee, the star ingredient that gives them their special flavor.

They’re shaped like coffee beans, giving them a unique look and taste. Once baked and cooled, they’re served cold. These biscuits make a wonderful sweet snack or a treat between meals.

Ingredients

Coffee Biscuits

Serves 5–6 people

  • ½ cup ghee

  • ½ cup oil

  • 2 ½ cups flour

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 3 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder

  • ½ teaspoon coffee

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Preparation Method

  1. Beat the sugar with ghee and oil until the sugar fully dissolves.

  2. Gradually add the flour, along with the baking powder, salt, cocoa, and coffee.

  3. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes until soft and easy to shape.

  4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Shape the dough into small balls, then cut a slit down the middle of each one with a knife to create the coffee bean look.

  5. Arrange the biscuits on the tray, leaving space between them.

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 7–15 minutes, or until fully baked. Place the tray on the middle rack so the biscuits cook evenly without burning.

  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

  8. Place on a serving plate and serve cold.

Enjoy your meal!
