In Egypt, Eid biscuits are considered one of the main traditional sweets, prepared and enjoyed along with other delicious desserts. That’s why today we’ll show you how to make coconut-flavored biscuits, so you have the recipe ready before getting busy during Ramadan.
Biscuits in general are a type of Western pastry made from dough, with different fillings or flavors added to create variety. They can be sweet or savory, but they’re always crispy. Today, we’ll prepare them with the flavor of coconut.
Ingredients for Eid Biscuits with Coconut
Makes about 19–20 servings

1 kilogram ghee

1 kilogram powdered sugar

2 cups milk

8 eggs

Vanilla
-
2.5 kilograms flour
-
3 packets baking powder
-
125 grams (⅛ kilogram) shredded coconut
How to Prepare Eid Biscuits with Coconut

In a large bowl, combine the ghee and powdered sugar. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.

Add the eggs and vanilla, and stir until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and coconut. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients.

Slowly add the milk while stirring until you have a soft dough.

Place the dough into a biscuit machine, fix it to a wooden base, and choose the desired shape for your biscuits.

Pipe the biscuits directly onto the baking tray. Do not transfer them afterward, as they are delicate and may break.

Bake in a preheated oven at medium temperature, watching carefully to prevent burning.

Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool completely before storing in a tin.
